In October, 1999, under the guidance of Ted Arneson, the BLC Council created a new Foundation for the church: The BLC Foundation. This foundation exists solely to receive, hold, invest and reinvest funds for the benefit and maintenance of Barneveld Lutheran Church.

One of the benefits of a foundation is that you can maximize your charitable giving to the church and its ministries, while receiving a favorable tax deduction.

Some of the projects with which the foundation has been involved include:

  • A new roof for the church in 2002, thanks to Alvin Jones in memory of his wife Jackie Jones
  • Air conditioning in 2003, thanks to Joan Johnsrud in memory of her husband, Kenny Johnsrud
  • Financial assistance to the keyboard fund (after a substantial fundraising effort on the Music Committee's part first)
  • Half the cost of a new copier for the BLC office
  • $250 for new hymnals from the Olson memorial
  • Donation to the seminary fund (for Kirsten Curtis)
  • Donation to Summit Apartments
  • Donation to Sugar Creek, thanks to Barb and Ted Arneson

To make a donation to the foundation, please send a check to BLC Foundation, 505 Swiss Lane, Barneveld, WI 53507. You can make a general donation or a donation for a specific request.

To make a request to the foundation for financial support, please fill out the Foundation Request for Funding form.
