The Barneveld Lutheran Church Ministry

We are fortunate to have many people—both paid and unpaid—who help keep our church going on a consistent basis. Pastor Jack Way

Marcia Thompson is our office manager. She has been a member of BLC since April 1986 and was hired in November, 1992.

Financial Secretary: Jo Ann Manteufel

Treasurer: Jo Ellen Uptegraw

Custodian: Angel Hering

Accompanists:

  • Karen Erickson, who writes: For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed playing the piano. As a young child I would watch my Mom practicing beautiful piano music. Gradually, she taught me to read the music and play by ear in any ey. When I look down as I'm playing the piano, I see my Mom's hands.

My husband, Cory, works at Thermo Fisher in Madison. I teach third graders in Mt. Horeb. We have two daughters. Kristin is a high school history teacher living in Muscatine, Iowa. Katie attends Northwester College in Orange City, Iowa. Our family's favorite time each year is attending Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp with our niece, nephew, and godson. It is a blessing to worship at Barneveld Lutheran Church.

  • Linda Seeley began taking piano lessons when she was nine years old and knew music would be an important part of her life and future. She loves to compose and improvise and in 2002 recorded her first CD “Make Something Happen.” Later in 2004 and 2005, two more piano solo CDs were produced. Linda finds inspiration for her music by being in the great outdoors, particularly while hunting, fishing, and camping with her husband Mark. Linda received a B.A. degree in Music Education from The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1987.

In 1988, she began teaching piano lessons to children and adults in the Racine, WI area. While residing there, she taught more than 50 piano students of all ages at her home in Union Grove and at Lakeshore Conservatory in Racine.

Currently, Linda and Mark live in Ridgeway. They recently moved to the area in March of 2011. They both love the beautiful landscapes, and friendly people.

Linda has a new piano studio at her home where she teaches private piano lessons in Ridgeway.  Along with being a musician at The Barneveld Lutheran Church, she is substitute teacher for the Mount Horeb and the Barneveld school districts. She also loves to perform at public and private venues.

She currently has openings for piano lessons. Contact her at: lindakseeley@yahoo.com.
